چکیده

Effective quartic gauge couplings on tree level appear in a strong interacting Higgs scenario, which could be relevant, e.g. if no standard model Higgs would be found 1. This scenario can be described in terms of an effective chiral Lagrangian valid for invariant energies m W,Z < √ s < 4πv, where the vacuum expectation value due to electroweak symmetry breaking is v = (√ 2G F) −1 ≃ 246 GeV. It can be tested in a future linear collider 2. The Higgs potential is given as in the standard model and the Higgs fields can be described by a nonlinear realization of chiral symmetry 3. The spontaneous symmetry breaking leads to masses of the gauge bosons. A systematic one-loop low energy expansion in the energy regime considered here leads to counter terms that require parameters that have to be determined by experiments. Because of the equivalence theorem the Higgs fields can be identified with the longitudinal components of the gauge bosons. Hence these counter terms can be identified with effective (anomalous) couplings between the gauge bosons. The generic quartic terms are

Bosonic Quartic Couplings at LEP2

We list the set of C and P conserving anomalous quartic vector bosons self-couplings which can be tested at LEP2 through triple vector boson production. We show how this set can be embedded in manifestly SU(2) × U(1) gauge invariant operators exhibiting an SU(2)c global symmetry. We derive bounds on these various couplings and show the most relevant distributions that can enhance their contribu...

Quartic Anomalous Couplings in γγ Colliders

We study the constraints on the vertices W+W−Zγ, W+W−γγ, and ZZγγ that can be obtained from triple-gauge-boson production at the next generation of linear e+e− colliders operating in the γγ mode. We analyze the processes γγ → W+W−V (V = Z, or γ) and show that these reactions increase the potential of e+e− machines to search for anomalous four-gaugeboson interactions. Submitted to Physical Revie...

Quartic Anomalous Couplings in eγ Colliders

We study the production of gauge boson pairs at the next generation of linear e+e− colliders operating in the eγ mode. The processes eγ → V V F (V, V ′ = W , Z, or γ and F = e or ν) can give valuable information on possible deviations of the quartic vector boson couplings from the Standard Model predictions. We establish the range of the new couplings that can be explored in these colliders bas...

Quartic Gauge Boson Couplings at Linear Colliders | Interplay of Wwz=zzz Production and Ww-fusion |

We study new physics eeects to the quartic gauge boson couplings formulated by the electroweak chiral Lagrangian. Five next-to-leading order operators characterize the anomalous quartic gauge interactions which involve pure Goldstone boson dynamics for the electroweak symmetry breaking. We estimate the typical size of these couplings in diierent strongly-interacting models and examine the sensi...

Anomalous quarticWW , ZZ , and trilinear WW couplings in two-photon processes at high luminosity at the LHC

In the standard model (SM) of particle physics, the couplings of fermions and gauge bosons are constrained by the gauge symmetries of the Lagrangian. The measurement of W and Z boson pair productions via the exchange of two photons allows to provide directly stringent tests of one of the most important and least understood mechanism in particle physics, namely, the electroweak symmetry breaking...
